INSIGHT - Interiors of a creative mind meet Musician, workshop leader, and creative Madi Shrimpton living in Brockley SE London

Introducing Madi Shrimpton
I went to meet Madi, dear friend and cousin in her house in Brockley SE London. Madi's home is free and bright, windows litter the walls and beautiful bits and pieces from a life of creativity litter the rooms.

To know madi is a dream, she is part of creative singing group goodbye leopald and a woman of many talents. Singing, playing the ekulele, running workshops, posing as a life model, and following her dreams.

Madi lives in a 2 bedroom flat a stones throw from one tree hill where the oldest oak tree lives. I popped over to her house for a spot of reorganising and a wonderful organic egg breakfast. I so decided to share with you what i found there and it was such a colourful treat!!
Madi's flat has a super little garden with tiles reclaimed from the front of the house creating a gorgeous patio.
Pots of wonderful sculptural flowers dotted all around the garden.
Madi's kitchen is square and spacious with mismatching chairs, wonderful colourful prints and collected pictures everywhere. I love the quirky dog lamp on the table and the bunches of flowers pick up on all the textile colours.
Popping in the sitting room there are cosy places to sit and relax amongst exciting books and wonderful pieces of art.
The puppies where right at home :)
A Traditional old dresser top makes the best shelving for Madi's collections of pop out books, and hidden treasures.
Not to forget this wonderful reclaimed wooden fire surround and selected antiques.
I particularly loved the light in Madi's bathroom.

A real treat for me just two minuets away is One Tree Hill. Where an old spiritual Oak tree stands. It wouldn't have been a real visit with out a tree hug :)
Such a beautiful tree and so close to this exciting and wonderful home. Honor Oak park and Brockley are so quaint its kinda like being in the country.
Strong and powerful this old oak attracts witches and passionate tree explorers/followers all year round.
What a beautiful day, a wonderful place to live and such an epic old tree.

PFW Chanel

Chanel collection swept us away. It was like Karl meets Art meets Fashion. Looking at the show made us feel like going to see Modern Art Museum. Only this time instead of seeing Hirst or Warhol  we saw Karl's art embelisshed with Chanel logo.
Huge Chanel No. 5 perfume bottle looking like a robot
Massive Chanel logo sculpture and paintings!
Amazing venue!
 Inspiration Art Basel!
and colorful Japanese toys!
If it is Art then it is art! We adored that colorful paint stroke pattern!
watercolor
We were amazed by fantastic eye make-up! A cool mixture between Japanese culture and color splash!
Reminded us of this super cool photo of Kate Moss by Mario Testino
and Asian culture
Another thing we saw and loved was wearing two bags at the time. If they are as cute as Chanel's  MORE IS definitely MORE!
We thought that that washed out/bleached material looked fantastic!
made us think of that old pair of jeans we just can't throw out
It is ain't no Chanel if there is no black'n'white and tweed!
Loved this camouflage effect!
made us think of birch tree
And some more looks we couldn't leave out! Because there could NEVER be too much of CHANEL.
As they say:
Food, water, CHANEL - lets go back to the essentials!

Pure love!
